6.2.4 Construction Documents Phase

The electrical design team delivers the final version of lighting, power, ELV, earthing, and MV systems, including detailed diagrams, layouts, and calculations. Responsibilities include:

  • Final lighting, power, and ELV layouts per floor with circuit tagging and mounting heights
  • Updated single-line diagrams (SLDs), panel schedules, feeder sizing, and cable routing
  • Lightning protection, earthing, and emergency power system documentation
  • Final short circuit, voltage drop, and load calculations
  • Technical specifications and fully extracted BOQs for all electrical systems

Electrical consultants ensure that coordination with mechanical (e.g., equipment power supply), architectural (e.g., fixture mounting, switch heights), and civil/utility requirements is fully captured in the documents.
